Take a leisurely walk or Otago Central Rail Trail along the rail trail and help us celebrate World Wetlands Day at Orkney Wetland.

The wetland will be open to view from the platform, with committee members and volunteers on site to share what’s been happening since construction wrapped up. We’ll also have Jo Wakelin running a hands-on seed-planting demonstration – plus you can take some seeds home to grow for future planting at the wetland

And to finish things off… a real fruit ice cream on us back at the Golf Club
